Dramatic entry point
In The Fatherless, an elite slaveholder manufactures a private scandal among people he owns by withholding a truth only he knows. Their child is intended as proof that domination is necessary; the child's ordinary humanity becomes an accusation against the logic that created the atrocity.
Series proposition
The surrounding stories move from prehistoric survival through institutional ownership and synthetic personhood into a materially abundant society shaped by ranking and selection. Across them, the dramatic progression moves through life, selfhood, knowledge, and transcendence. Each age discovers something real, then confronts the temptation to turn that discovery into authority over another life.
Current screen entry point
For screen, The Fatherless is positioned as a historical political thriller: an administrative crime expands into a public argument about personhood. Records and archives become instruments of power while monumental civic order turns private harm into procedure.
It can stand as an individual feature adaptation while the wider property remains a four-era framework for future screen discussion.
Recurring dramatic engine
Across radically different screen worlds, partial truths become claims over other lives: survival becomes exclusion, origin becomes judgment, intelligence becomes ownership, and measurement becomes identity. The recurring dramatic release comes when a life, mind, memory, or person proves larger than the system built to contain it.
Adaptation shape
The Fatherless can stand as an individual feature adaptation. The broader property can also be discussed as a limited anthology series, as interconnected feature films, or as individual novel adaptations. The four novels share a thematic architecture without requiring a single prescribed production model.

Development state
All four novels have beta manuscripts. The Age of Forms is entering private reader testing. Public material remains premise-level; endings and unreleased story architecture are kept private.
