Private editorial participation
Beta editors and early readers.
Four novels are in beta. We plan to invite thoughtful readers and editors to help find what works, what drags, and what needs another look.
You don't need professional editing credentials. We welcome developmental editors, beta readers and subject-matter readers. Interest in one book or all four is welcome; the intended reader order is The Fatherless, Neurion, Age of Embers, then The Age of Forms.
How it works
- Send a short email using the application template below. No website account or signup form is needed.
- If there's a suitable reading round, we'll contact you with its scope, expected timing, and confidentiality requirements.
- Only approved invitees receive private reading material and instructions for submitting feedback.
Expressing interest is not a manuscript download, an editing appointment, or a promise of an invitation. Feedback from invited readers stays in private correspondence, not public GitHub issues.
Already invited to read?
If your invitation uses Google Play Books, sign in with the same Google Account that was invited. Open Google Play Books or its app, then check Library / Your books for your title.
The Google Books search library is different. Seeing “0 books” there does not mean your Google Play Books reviewer access is missing.
If your book is absent, verify your signed-in account, then reply to your invitation or contact us privately with the book title. Reviewer access is granted separately for each title and may be provided before a book is available for sale. Applying for editorial participation does not itself provide book access. Google's content reviewer guidance explains the process.
Apply by email
We welcome short expressions of interest from beta readers, developmental editors and subject-matter readers. No Google account, form submission or newsletter subscription is required.
Compose beta-editor application
If your email app does not open, send an email to editors@entanglementofages.com with the subject Entanglement of Ages - Beta editor interest.
Include the book or books you would like to read and the kind of feedback you can provide. You may also include your availability and a brief introduction. Please do not attach manuscripts or send sensitive personal information.
Your message is sent only when you choose to send it from your email app. Your email address and application are handled through email correspondence, not stored by this website. They will be used to consider your interest and respond about editorial participation, not automatically added to the series newsletter. To request withdrawal or removal, reply to the same email address. Invitations and access to manuscripts are granted separately.
